"So promise me you'll never forget...that you aren't an accident or an incident...you are a gift to the world, a divine work of art, signed by God. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on this earth...Flooded by emotion, overcome by pride, the Starmaker turns to us, one by one, and says, 'You are my child. I love you dearly.'" Max Lucado, God Thinks You're Wonderful

More pics and meal help!

Some of you wanted to help with meal ideas! Thank you so much. I forgot to tell you what we do have to work with: stove top and microwave. Our biggest "pot" holds 6 cups! We do not have a crockpot, toaster, toaster oven, etc. We don't have a can opener, but hope to get one this weekend if I can talk Blake into a drive to Walmart (which takes about an hour to get to). The grocery stores here are close, but expensive.
While everyone keeps telling us just to buy what we need and not worry about it; that's easier said than done. Blake is booking all of his flights right now for fellowship interviews, and we think he's going on about 8. So that's 8 roundtrip flights most of them flying out of Aspen, which makes it more expensive. And at the same time, we were saving up for our next adoption. So while buying a crockpot doesn't sound expensive...it really makes me want to throw up thinking about all of this adding up.
Thank you for any ideas that you might have! Enjoy the pics!
The pool at the lodge. The kids LOVED swimming in the cold.
Thanks Uncle David, Papa and Aunt Becki for sledding with us! What a blast!Meals together were especially fun and entertaining! Of course the boys made each meal a competition!

Okay, this one is a bit embarrassing, but at the same time so hilarious. I couldn't NOT share it. That's me sprawled out behind Blake. I was trying to be silly and was going to bump into him, and my plan didn't work. I got stuck in this position. Mind you, Blake couldn't help me. That's my BIL Greg in the grey and he wasn't going to help me either. My mom and dad were laughing so hard, and my dad decided we needed to capture this moment on film. Thanks dad! That's what a get for acting like a kid I guess!!!

Reminding you of "Beef Crap" always a winner.

Brown Ground beef, drain fat, add rotel tomatoes, cream of celery soup, and half a stick of cream cheese, cook until it looks like gravy and add noodles of your choice. Salt and pepper to taste....and wahlah!!! Beef Crap!

I am laughing out loud at that last pic! SO funny! :) I just loved the little town of Aspen! Hope you guys enjoy your time there. You could have breakfast for supper sometimes (eggs and bacon or pancakes). T.R. and I did that one night when I was there. Will keep thinking! Oh, you could do spaghetti...you probably already have! :)

looks like your are having fun! i highly recommend going to the thrift stores or salvation army to get kitchen wares, etc... they usually work just fine and you can stock a whole kitchen for $20 alot of time.. :)

Soups, stews, chili, Hamburger Helper, grilled cheese, salisbury steak, baked potatoes (in the microwave), stir fry, mac & cheese with ham....hmmm...I'll have to keep thinking, but those are the ones that come to mind right away. Let me know if you need/want any recipes. Love you!
