Beach Pics

Well, Hilton Head Island was as magical as everyone said it was...
We had to beg Owen to take this one of us, but I am so glad we did.  Love this man so much!  This year is our 10 year wedding anniversary...so thankful for the love we have.
Singing Happy Gotcha Day to Sadie at 8:15 am...HA!  They loved it!
Emery took a lil nap on the beach and the bigs couldn't stop kissing on her.  So sweet!
We met up with our precious friends from Canada.  They are at Emory doing a fellowship this year as well.
I love a family picture!!!  Goodness gracious!  Look how big our Emery is!  I cannot believe it.  This picture seriously shocked me when I saw how big she looks.

This was taken on Mother's Day...I looked up and saw Cooper and Sadie playing in the waves together.  Such a sweet gift for this mama.  We don't always get along so well, so when I see this I just relish in it.
Emery LOVED the water and couldn't get enough of it.  Several times she would point and say "MORE" while her whole body was shaking from being cold.

Blake and I noticed while on this trip that Owen walks with a lil swagger.  It's sooo cute.  I love that he is confident.
Not sure this needs any explaination...I just love that this is what she did...taking it all in baby girl.
What a great shot of Sadie checking out the sea shells.  Notice she has her baby...she's such a good lil mama.
He was in heaven!  We normally don't let the kids drink pop, but we got a cooler for the beach and their daddy bought them Diet Twist Up and you'd have thought they won the lottery.  And yes, they were having fun seeing who could burp the loudest.
Sweet kisses!  This Emme is full of hugs and kisses and we just can't get enough of them.
Sadie got a skim board for her Gotcha Day from Noonie and Papa.
He so didn't want to stop and take this...thank you Cooper!
I am not sure what we would have done without this precious family full of great friends.  Everything you've heard about Canadians is true...they are the nicest people you'll ever meet.  We are gonna miss them!

A lil pick me up?

Nothing makes my heart light up more than these sweet faces in the morning. Notice Emery's face in the first one?I know the next one is a bit fuzzy, but check out that grin!!!!! It takes up her whole face.
Owen sure does love being the oldest and taking care of his sisters. He is growing into such a sweet young man. He hasn't slowed down one bit; he's a mover and a shaker that's for sure!

These were of the first night the girls shared a room. Sadie LOVED having Emery in there with her.
This is an awful pic of me, but I had to post because of Emery's expression. Mercy, how stinking cute is she?

The girl cousins did nails, had a tea party and watched a movie while the boys went to spend the night at Aunt Laura's and Uncle Greg's house. We're gonna miss our cousins!

And just to make you smile, here is a little video Miss Sadie made when she stole the camera. Ha!

Summer fun

Well, we are just having ourselves some marvelous time at the pool.

I know some people might be annoyed by lots of kids at the pool, but for my kids it's pure bliss. And that makes mama happy!

Owen and Cooper pretty much are inseparable. Thankfully they have not questioned the need to wear life jackets because I am not sure it would be safe for me to take all 3 of them if the guys weren't wearing those beautiful yellow things!

Sadie has enjoyed the water as long as her hiney is not sitting in it. She will put her feet in and her hands in and splash. She looks hilarious doing this, kind of like an ape with her tiny buns in the air.

And this...I had to share. This might just show you a glimpse of the relationship between these three. This is pretty much what Sadie wakes up to every morning. I actually asked Owen to wait until I could grab the camera!
Sadie has changed so much in the last 2 weeks. She is talking more, moving all of the time, she's eating finger foods and is no longer taking a bottle. She is desperately wanting to walk, but is a little nervous. When you let go of her hands, she slowly inches her bottom to the ground to sit. She's like an old lady trying to sit on a couch...she cracks me up! And as these pictures show...she's become quite the little ham! She's a silly girl!
Look at that tongue and those eyes! She was just dancing and jumping and squealing! Such a happy girl!

She is finally saying "mama" some. It's only happened twice, and only in times of desperate need for me, but I will take it! She says "ga" for dog-she only does it when she sees Bella...she really seems to like her. I mean Sadie liking Bella. I am not too sure Bella is enjoying the fact that we keep bringing home babies!

New talent...

Soaking up some sun! What a beautiful couple of days it's been!

Like every parent, I think my children are beyond talented.

I am sorry, but just about everything they do amazes me.

I have been trying to catch the boys fully dressed dancing because it's quite possibly the cutest thing you've ever seen! We dance daily just to get a good giggle in.

My hopes are they will have a little more talent than their mommy when it comes to rhythm and dancing.

Blake can actually dance really well, it's just his taste in music and convincing him to do so that is the challenge! He does dance with the guys though...so funny to watch the 3 of them boogy in the living room! Can you picture it?

So while I wait for the day for these guys to dance WITH clothes on...here is Sadie bug with her new "trick" as Owen calls it. I try and remind him she's not a dog with tricks!

Sadie and Owen blowing bubbles...

They have such a sweet love for each other already!

So, sorry for the poor taping and bad lighting, but here she is...and you can hear her! Yahoo, she does make noise! My sweet baby girl...

And below is Sadie's first ride in the swing outside! I think she liked it, what do you think?

Sadie update and sibling love

Here are some fun pictures that we took one morning.

I love them because, well, I am obsessed with our children and I think they are highly intelligent beings as well as pretty stinking cute!

But, also...you can see a little bit of Owen and Cooper's personalities in these shots. Sadie, well, for the next several months until we see who she is...she's probably just going to look like a deer in the headlights. I mean, who wouldn't with these two coming at you?

Sadie started cereal and it's been pretty funny. I remember all of the kids starting cereal and it's such a fun time.

Owen loved it and got so mad every time I took the spoon out of his mouth because he wanted to do it like a bottle and just keep sucking the cereal right off of the spoon! He didn't understand the need to stop and reload!

Cooper caught on very quickly but also tried to help me shovel the cereal into his mouth. It ended up EVERYWHERE! With every scoop that went into his mouth, then followed his chubby fist. Then he would grab my hand for more and ended up covering me in cereal. It was nasty people!

Sadie, in typical girl fashion, has made some silly faces and acts like I am putting entirely too much in her mouth. Most of it comes back out and she's just not sure of the consistency (yes, she told me this!). It's taken 4 days for us to really get any of it down. She seems to prefer to have a couple of bites followed by a sip of milk. She's such a dainty girl...it's hilarious!

The boys loved helping and wanted to get in on the fun!

Sadie is trying to sit up and doing quite well. The doctor said that smaller babies do tend to have an easier time maneuvering their bodies....makes sense to me!

Here she is standing at her play table!

I have pics of the boys at this age!

Above is Owen...check out those legs!

Cooper prefers you not make fun of his gaucho pants. He had quite the round belly and chubby buns! So all of his pants were too long just to fit around his middle!
_______________________________________________

Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for giving us each of these children so that they have each other. I can't tell you how much I have learned and continue to learn from my siblings. I NEED them, I always have. They are my best friends.

I am seeing this between our kids.

I see how much the boys lean on each other, and teach each other.

They love having a sister. They love helping not only me, but her.

I caught Cooper today trying to help Sadie sit up.

They follow me into her room when she wakes up from naps and they say quietly, "Shh, shh...it's okay Sadie...it's just nap time".

I could go on and on about all of the sweet things they say and do for her, but you just have to see it in action. It is priceless.

I feel incredibly blessed not only to have 3 siblings myself, but to be able to give that same thing to my children. I sure am thankful that God has given me my dream, and that my sweet husband loves it too!
