"So promise me you'll never forget...that you aren't an accident or an incident...you are a gift to the world, a divine work of art, signed by God. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on this earth...Flooded by emotion, overcome by pride, the Starmaker turns to us, one by one, and says, 'You are my child. I love you dearly.'" Max Lucado, God Thinks You're Wonderful

Keeping Focused

We've got 2 teeth and almost 4!!! She is walking up to 8 steps and stopping by herself. She'll stand up and just clap because that's what we all do when we see her!

Sadie helping me water last week. As much as I would love a sprinkler system...we have so much fun watering...and it's so peaceful.

Emery getting ready for Rio. She didn't last long! Sorry the pic is off but I was afraid to let go to take the pic! (Side note: her aunt already got on to me for not having shoes on her in the theatre. She kinda forgot that I'm the country one in the family...it's just how we roll when you aren't walking!)

Gigi took us all to the movies with Grandma Shockley! This is Gigi trying to manage Emery...she's a mover!

Aren't they adorable? Man, I am soooo blessed!

We were driving around last night while someone looked at the house.

The kids are growing tired, as are we, of these showings.

Owen piped up, "This is not fun." Blake and I reminded him that we didn't think it was fun either.

Then I told Owen, "Sweetie, a lot of people in Alabama lost their homes to tornadoes...we need to be thankful we are just trying to sell ours."

As soon as it came out of my mouth, I realized I needed to hear that more than he did. Maybe he's not buying what I am selling because I am not living it? Grrr. This parenting thing is hard!

Please Lord, be patient with me while I learn what it is you are trying to teach me here. I hate that I waver so much between trusting you with this, to becoming grumpy with frustration because my plan is obviously not yours. I want your plan. I really do.

So this is what we did tonight during the showing...

I got much better reviews from this outing! Emery LOVES ice cream, mac n cheese, mashed potatoes, lasagna, rolls, yogurt and biscuits. Pretty much everything we put in front of her! She has got to be the happiest little thing. Every where we go people stop and comment on how happy she is. It's just about the cutest thing you've ever seen. She is very affectionate and loves to cuddle and kiss anyone. She still loves whispers in her ear, kisses, and singing.
