"So promise me you'll never forget...that you aren't an accident or an incident...you are a gift to the world, a divine work of art, signed by God. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on this earth...Flooded by emotion, overcome by pride, the Starmaker turns to us, one by one, and says, 'You are my child. I love you dearly.'" Max Lucado, God Thinks You're Wonderful

Thankful

I talk a lot about how thankful I am that the boys have each other. I am equally thankful that the girls have each other. I mean...how cute is this? It's so fun too because they didn't care that they were SQUISHED in here. They LOVED it.
Did I surprise her or do you think she is peeing?

They are getting to the point that they really enjoy playing together. I know it will only get more and more fun as they get older.

Emery started crying below and Sadie started rubbing her hair. This is especially sweet because our Emery LOVES to have her hair played with and her hairline/neck rubbed gently.

A Perfect Friday

I love this picture of Sadie in her shirt...this couldn't be more true!
We got a special package in the mail yesterday!!! It was full of Valentines goodies for all of the kids. It made our day. Thank you Cailey and the whole Proctor family for our goodies, sweet note and pictures!Emery gets to taste the lip suckers...these things are hilarious! Blake got off work early, went skiing then to the store all before the kids were up from naps! He then took us to run errands before going to the park to play. After we put the kids down he made me dinner and we watched a movie! What a huge treat...thank you babe!
Across from the park is McDonalds AND the Chocolate Factory...so we HAD to stop by. The kids chose to spend their Valentine money from Gigi and Papa to buy chocolate...I taught them well!
We had such a fun morning at school. I feel like I am finally getting the hang of how to do this with all 3 of them. Here we did "Sensible Snacks" and we described each healthy snack with our 5 senses. Look closely above and you can see Cooper smelling his carrot and Owen telling me what his carrot feels like to touch.

Oh my lands...I LOVE these. Emery's first time to finger paint. This just tells you how much I have relaxed as a mom with the more kids we have. Owen was 18 months when I first thought it might be appropriate to paint. What was I thinking? We now have 4 beautiful paintings displayed on our walls. This is becoming one colorful little apartment ;o)

The kids showing their other art for school. We talked about Presidents Day and George Washington cutting down the cherry tree. The kids made their own cherry trees. So fun! Owen is holding our countdown sign til Noonie and Papa visit. We are just a wee bit excited to see them.

We talked about healthy teeth as well today and did an exercise about what to feed your teeth. They colored and cut out different foods and then chose the healthy ones to feed our little mouth here. Isn't that cute? This was hilarious. Sadie's food of choice is "tookies". So there was a picture of cookies and I told her it was not a healthy thing to feed your teeth. She was so upset I wouldn't let her put it in the "mouth" that she smelled it and licked it. Oh man...she's a hoot!

Less Words on Wednesday

You know I can't really do a wordless post.I was making dinner and turned around to find Sadie in the trash can. (She is saying "cheese" here). Let me explain. We came without Sadie's stroller for her babies. She has taken to this trash can and started pushing all her stuff around in it. It also works as a push walker for Emme. Man kids are so creative! When I asked for another smile, she picked her nose. Nice lovie.
Ahhh, a picture is worth a thousand words. This is Cooper's fort he built (also a castle and a pirate ship). Sadie's new pose...we aren't sure what it is, but it cracks us up. And Emme at the "toy box".
Playing in the snow at our apartment. Look close and you will notice Cooper leading Sadie...he is so sweet with her...most of the time ;o)
Holding her hand to help her in the snow.

Love that grin

We had so much fun painting the snow! Thanks Courtney for the great idea. I just happened to bring our food coloring and was able to scrounge around for some spray bottles.

And a lil hot chocolate to warm up!

Last night we had a rough, rough nite sleeping. Sleeping here altogether has been rough, but last night topped it all. Thank Jesus that the kids were in wonderful moods and we had a good day at school and lots of outside play. And thank you to all of you on facebook that prayed for and encouraged me.

Our day took a turn early afternoon when we learned that Blake's grandfather died. We are so saddened to have lost such an incredible man, but so glad that he is no longer sick and is walking with Jesus tonight. I am beyond heartbroken that I cannot fly home for the funeral. We would have to pay $2K for 5 flights and that certainly isn't in our budget. I can't say that I am happy to be here today. But I am thankful that Blake will be able to go home to be with our family.

Quiet Play?

Got any ideas for ways to help toddlers get energy out in a small apartment? My precious mom packed us a goody bag for the car ride, and I totally forgot she included Valentine's balloons until I cleaned out the car on Sunday. Thanks mama! Balloon volleyball is super fun and pretty quiet! We've been working on reading with Owen. My mother-in-law gave us some great books to help and it's really building Owen's confidence. My heart cannot contain how proud I am of this guy!Sadie heard us and watched us practice, so she grabbed a book and started, "Sat, sat. Sat sat sat." Too cute! They only have a couple of pages, and each sound builds on the other word sounds. Each book (set of 12ish) gets a bit more difficult.
I love downloading pictures and finding random ones that I didn't take. So this must have been Owen as we were getting ready for bed brushing teeth. I love how Cooper is cheesing it up for Owen.
Oh my goodness. This is Owen kissing the picture of Cailey. Cailey gave us a homemade frame and adorable pic of the two of them the day before we headed out. It's on our fridge with a picture of Owen's friends from school. I caught him kissing this picture and made him do it again so I could get a pic. Lordy lordy...
Could this be any cuter? Well maybe if Sadie was looking, but still!

We visited the dog park yesterday and the kids had a blast as always. This is one of their favorite places to play in town. I love how Cooper can't keep his cap down over his ears. He doesn't seem to mind one bit.

Sadie loves to eat snow...below she is offering me some. Feeding each other.

We couldn't stay too long as Emery's cheeks were getting SO cold! Its amazing though how much it helps just to get out for 45 minutes and get fresh air, run around, see other faces and not worry about being noisy!

Taking a break. Hope you are enjoying the snow as much as we are! At least we can still drive around in it. Sorry for all of you that are stuck!!! Praying you all are safe.

Tour of our chalet...

Welcome! When you walk in the front door the couch is to your right. The kitchen is to your left...Like our art decoration? We LOVE it!View of kitchen from the hallway...Standing in the kitchen, looking down hallway. Kids door on the right, then Blake and I's room. Open door at the end is the bathroom. (Do you see the vacuum? We can't figure out where to store it! Ha!)Our cozy bathroom...
View from the bathroom to the kitchen...that's our sink and storage space on the right in the hallway.
Notice I didn't post pics of either room. I could try and get some, but they are really too small to get anything but a shot of the beds. Not really interesting.
Pictures of the boys playing outside. These are really good pictures if I do say so myself ;o)

Making snow angels! The apartment complex shovels the snow every morning so we have nice big heaps of snow to jump into! It's fabulous and from what I hear very much like everyone in Oklahoma!
Seriously.love.that.smile
I think he was threatening me with a snowball... I love this series of pics below. Man, having a brother to wrestle and play football with is so much fun!
Cooper starts out running away, then turns to fight him...
I think little brother is pretty proud that he won! So cute!
