Noonie

For those of you that don't know Noonie...she is my mother.
She has a tradition that she knits every grandchild a blanket when they are born.

My kids usually come into our world with little warning, so she never is able to finish their blankies before they are born.

She just finished her 8th blankie, this one for Sadie-cakes. I fear we pushed cousin Greyson's out of the picture! Sorry buddy.

So here is Sadie enjoying her new lovie.

As soon as Cooper laid eye's on it, he was in love. If you haven't heard, my little guy LOVES the color pink. He had quite a hard time understanding that this blanket was for Sadie and not him. He is a bit attached to his red one that Noonie made and he thought this was just a fresh one for him.

Thanks Noonie...we love these blankets and will keep them forever!

That Noonie is super duper special I know! What a great tradition and heirloom! Laura made my Kealyn a blanket when she was born and she carried it everywhere with her until she (we) lost it at Wal-Mart. I was there until 1:30 am trying to find it! It broke my heart. So, we know about special blankies for sure!

Precious post as always. Your kids are...well...indescribeably cute! Is that a word?

David's grandma (gma to my kids) makes everyone in the family (kids, gradkids and grandkid-in-laws, and great grandkids) a blanket. She has rhemotoid arthritis, an eye disease where she can't see well and yet she made two baby blankets (one yellow when we did not know it was a girl, and one pink when we did know) and now a bigger blanket for Kaitlyn. How we are blessed by these, so I know how you feel. Oh, btw, I LOVE SADIE'S FEET! I love the pics where she is holding Norma's face too, adorable!

Now Sadie can be wrapped in Noonie's love all the time. How sweet. I really love the way they are holding each other in the last picture. I also can't believe that little Miss is crawling!

I love the picture of Sadie's hands on Noonie's face!! That is so sweet. Such love even at any early age. I'm impressed I didn't know that Noonie knitted!! I have blankets that my mother in law did and I pray that the kids will cherish them for years to come. Love ya!!
