"So promise me you'll never forget...that you aren't an accident or an incident...you are a gift to the world, a divine work of art, signed by God. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on this earth...Flooded by emotion, overcome by pride, the Starmaker turns to us, one by one, and says, 'You are my child. I love you dearly.'" Max Lucado, God Thinks You're Wonderful

Oh my **EDITED**

So yesterday I got an email from Representative Nelson. He sent me the agenda for the next meeting....and I am on it!
Part of me is thrilled to pieces, but most of me is SCARED to death. If you know me, you know I do not like speaking in front of people. I can handle a small group of people that I know, but beyond that...whoa. My belly hurts just typing this! But then when I get to thinking about why I am nervous its because I am making this about me (you know, that I will look like an idiot up there). But this is not about me.

I am telling you this to ask for prayer on October 15th at 1:30. Please pray that minds will be open (including mine) and emotions will be set aside for a great discussion of this highly sensitive subject of Cooper's Law. Please pray that I will not have an agenda, but that God will use me as according to His plan. As the author of adoption, I do believe He cares about this subject. I cannot say enough that I do not want this to happen if it is not right.
**I just got another email from Representative Nelson asking if I would bring Cooper's birth mother with me!!!! I called her and she was so excited to be a part of this. How incredible is God for working all of this out?!?! Thanks for all of your wonderful notes and encouragement!**
Thank you all for emailing Rep. Nelson and Senator Russell. Thank you for all of your support up until this point! Keep the prayers coming!

Thats so awesome. I love your perspective and humility in it. God will do big things! You are awesome. Thanks for paving a way for all of us future-adoptive families.

And, no, we know nothing more at this point in time :( just waiting.

Oh precious Molly...you will not look like an idiot...You are full of grace and wisdom and will shine like the light God had created you to be. You are His voice and I have no doubt that it will go beautifully. Such a neat and exciting time...I will pray that your heart will not beat out of your chest while you wait for the 15th and that HIS love and wisdom flow from you (as is does so often!) on the 15th!
Thank you for being the vessel!
btw...my word verification for this comment was {kings} how fitting that He will be glorified! :)

Mollie, this is so exciting!! I'm also a girl who is not keen on public speaking, so God has led me to some really encouraging scripture that I want to share with you.

Exodus 4:10-12
Moses said to the Lord "Lord I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue"
The Lord said to him "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say".

You are very eloquent with written word and I believe many of your written words flow from the Lord within you. Same principal applies here. Let us know the time and many of us will be happy to pray you through this!

Just let God speak through you and everything will be fine...He already has it under control, you are just a beautiful instrument in His orchestra. I miss your comments on my blog!! You are always so encouraging!

Molly, I CANNOT wait for this. Sister - this is what we have been waiting for...this is the moment you and I have been working so hard to get to....I hope you know how proud I am of you. I will be sitting there in that room with you, my heart swollen with pride for what my baby sister has been able to accomplish.

I am amazed that this is moving so quickley (I am sure it seems slow to you). But God is clearly trying to do something little sister...and I can't wait to have the ringside ticket to watch.

On a side note, if you freak out and forget what to say...I will be there....(and I won't video tape it and play it for years to come!)
