"So promise me you'll never forget...that you aren't an accident or an incident...you are a gift to the world, a divine work of art, signed by God. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on this earth...Flooded by emotion, overcome by pride, the Starmaker turns to us, one by one, and says, 'You are my child. I love you dearly.'" Max Lucado, God Thinks You're Wonderful

Sadie's home...again!

Sorry for not posting in several days, but we have a good excuse.

Sadie woke up Monday morning with a fever. Because of her age we had to take her to the ER where they ran several tests to see what was causing the problem. They put an IV in her head, then moved it to her arm and then her foot. Needless to say, the girl has been a trooper with all of the poking and proding they have done!

They admitted us and put us in isolation because they didn't know what caused the fever. They ran a TON of tests and cultures trying to figure out what it could have been. Thank God for insurance!
We've just been discharged this morning. God is incredible because there could have been several serious things wrong with Sadie that caused the fever...but they found NOTHING! All we know is that it was a virus of some type, but she is perfect now!

They found a murmur when listening to her heart and ran an echo cardiogram yesterday, but only found a normal opening in her heart that should close in the next few months. This was the cause for the murmur.

GOD IS SO GOOD! Thanks to all of you that have prayed for us. My goodness, how God continues to amaze me with the way He has blessed us. Hope you enjoy the pictures...of course we had to document everything!

This last one was just after the doctor came in to tell me that all tests were back and everything was negative. I just couldn't help but cry over this sweet baby girl that God has blessed us with. When you have a sick baby, you come to the realization that God may have only given them to you for a short time...we had to face that reality on Monday. To know today, that she is healthy just made me teary and ever so thankful.

I'm so glad your family gets to be together at home again! Molly, thank you for giving me a few minutes of your time yesterday! It was so good to hear your sweet voice! I will keep praying for little Sadie as her body continues to recover from this virus. On the bright side, it does look like you and your family got some sweet cuddle time with her while she was in the hospital! :) Love you!

I found you thru Robin Roady's blog. I find your story inspiring and wonderful. I actually went to school w/ Brent Shockley for years! I think your children are beautiful and I think you seem like a wonderful family and MOM!! I think of you all often and check the blog often. I'm so glad Sadie is A-OK!! What a wonderful thing you're doing in such a hectic world. I'm a mother of two wonderful little boys and I can't imagine having either one of them in the hospital. Bless your hearts and again I'm glad everything is ok!! Say hi to Brent for me. Amy Pempin (Stover)
