Home sweet home

The sad thing is it took me a long time for this town to feel like home.

It feels good to be happy here with my little growing family unit...for this to be our home sweet home.

Although I miss my family dearly and secretly wish we could all live on the same street...it feels good to love our life here too.

I am so blessed to have my family only a little over an hour away. And I know it's silly to spend time sad I am not closer. I truly am blessed!

We sure enjoyed our visit to Tulsa this weekend. Although it was cut short due to sick kids, it was still wonderful and full of fun.

Eating dinner with the Grunewalds. The boys all had so much fun playing outside together...and Laura and I so enjoyed the quiet house! Laura is due with baby Luke in 7 weeks!

Playing soccer in Noonie and Papa's empty pool! What a fun idea guys!

Sadie's in love with her older brothers. In the picture above, she smiled like this when Cooper simply walked past her!

She just LOVES watching them and she gets a kick out of them singing to her and talking to her.
Although they are not perfect, they are perhaps the most incredible big brothers I have ever seen! Makes this momma quite proud!

Seriously, she takes my breath away. There just aren't words to describe what I feel for her. Just like with every child, it's such an intense love that it just makes me cry and thank God for choosing us for her and her for us.

Tonight and over the weekend my heart has been heavy for some friends. If you could please pray for Kyle and Katie. You may not know their story, but God does and they sure would appreciate prayers over their hearts as they mourn the loss of their daughter.

I can completely agree with you on loving our home away from family but missing them so much. That is my life! I wish we were only an hour though but I won't complain...3-4 isn't terrible. I thought you knew Katie, she was a year older than me in the Kappa house. My heart hurts for them.

Your children are so beautiful! The are a reflection of just how good God is!!!!!!! I just have one question and I hope its ok to ask...What made you adopt Black children? Don't get me wrong I think you are amazing for allowing God to work through you. I was just wondering. I am Black myself adn I am so happy to knwo that these children are loved and taken care of regardless of race.

God Bless!

Dear Anonymous,
Thank you for your question and for being sensitive about how to ask it.

I am not sure what made my husband and I want black children...it's just something we dreamed of since we were in college. So, I guess I can't really answer it...it was just meant to be. I remember my husband telling me before we were "picked" with our first, "Molly, are you going to be okay if we get a white baby?" I told myself I would, I told him I would.

I prayed God would help me to be excited about any baby, but in my dreams all of our children are black. And I was honest with God about my heart and my dreams. And look how blessed we've been!!! Our wildest dreams have come true!

How amazing!!! Your children are beautiful. I was just wondering! I love Sadie's bows. My daughter wears a bow everyday! She would love to wear her hair down with a bow... but she has way to many curls. She would look like a poodle! You have a beautiful family and I pray God's grace over ya'll.
You are such an inspiration about how God will anwser our prayers and give us the desires of our hearts! I really needed to hear that today...
THANK YOU!
